The system module said I was on 2.13 and the upgrade module said it was doing a 2.0.13 to 2.0.14 upgrade... So I would be led to believe that the versions are correct.

I bet your site was running 2.2.4 and not 2.0.13.2. The 2.0.14 release is meant for people using 2.0.13.2, not 2.2.4. This explains the white pages, as there are database inconsistancies.

How to fix: upload 2.2.4 to your server, and you should be fine.

This release just wasn't meant for you...

Can someone direct me to a full 2.2.4 package? Best I can find is 2.2.3a and that isn't wanting to work quite right either... I think I have really screwed the pooch on this...

Yeah, I found the update, but that isn't going to correct all the files that were replaced by the 2.0.14 install.

I tried using the 2.2.3 install thinking I would then followup with the upgrade to 2.2.4, but I am getting a:

Fatal Error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /kernel/profile.php

you can still do what I told you before but using a clean install of the 2.2 version instead, just as a matter of testing to see what happens.

It dawned on me that I had another site that was running 2.2.4 and I was able to move over all the necessary files and was able to get the site back up and running.

Now all I have to do is put big notes all over my desk that I am running 2.2.4, not 2.13 as the system module indicates that I am.

Thank you everyone for your help, assistance, and tolerance...

2.13 is the version of the system module, not your XOOPS core version I know it can be confusing, especially in 2.2.x, as there in mowhere you can see the XOOPS core version anymore, without checking out some files.

But please note the difference: 2.13 and 2.0.13.2. they're NOT the same
