myAlbum photo look like crap!

Just installed myAlbum-P but the photos in thumb look so ugly.
i.e. the photo generate by programe for preview.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

What do they look like, and what are you using to generate them? Imagemagick, NetPBM, or GD?

I'd guess you are using GD 1, which generates very ugly thumbnails (but has the benefit of being on most systems). GD 2 is an improvement, but NetPBM and Imagemajick are much better, so switch over if you can.

Another possibility is that you have set the quality setting for thumbnails set very low, you can check in preferences for that module, if it allows it. Set it to something high!

make sure your PHP version can use GD2 True Color...else your pics will come out looking like 256 colors.... If your install can Enable Force GD2

Ya i batch register about 200 photos at once...GD2 takes usually around 90 seconds, Imagemagick only takes around 45 seconds.... Dont see much quality diffrence, Just seems to make thumbs quicker.
