How to take "News" above "Recent forum topics" ?

I have "Module for your start page" as News.
And I also have enabled for "forum (newsbb)"
Recent Topics as Center Block - Center weight 0.

Now the problem is I want the news to appear above the recent topics ( and I do not want recent news top news etc )

With various combionations of weightage and 'top page' 'allpage' whatever I am UNABLE TO take news above the recent topics - the recent topics always stays at the top .

Any kind help will be gratefully appreciated.

If you install XOOPS 2.0.14 you will get the new functionality of blocks yet you have to have in your theme the new code found in the default theme.

I believe there is a hack that enables center blocks to be placed at the bottom of your XOOPS site.

I think the hack is there, sorry for being so vague, someone else may be able to point in you in the right direction.

i found this image on google to help me explain.

looking at the image. and assumming your theme is set up that way.. and with your settings "module as start page" as News. the contents for news will always be on the bottom (#6).. since you want the center-center (or some other position) below contents then. the theme will have to be modified so that <{$xoops_contents}> is above the center-center blocks (the center-center loop in the theme)

so, the theme has to be changed it seems
i will need to take a deeper look in the guidelines provided by you all. and thanks again
