I am using XOOPS version 2.013.2. I have News Module 1.44 installed. I just can't seem to get the time code in the preferences for the module set right. I am on Eastern Standard Time. GMT -5:00.

Server is: GMT-7:00 Local is: GMT-5:00 I have it set that way in XOOPS systems/preferences/general settings.

This is what I have now in the News Module Preferences for time code: g:i a, (D.) j-F,Y
It displays 4:27 pm, (Sun.) 14-May,2006
Problem is, the time itself is not EST or GMT-5:00. I want to display it without display GMT or -5:00. IE; the example above should have been:

11:27 am, (Sun.) 14-May,2006

I always have the same issues with my news module. I have found that leaving it alone gets it as close as it can be... anytime i mess with it i get some stoneage calendar year.

Definitely needs some attention.

Thanks Biteronboard. It's nice to know I am not alone. But it can't be....? No fix for this? I had the same problem with the xoopsfaq guestbook module on a previous install and someone posted a fix/code time stamp to use which actually worked. I just can't find that post either to see if that fix works for the News Module. Sometimes I think the Search has its own artificial intelligence and knows what I am looking for but denies me the info.

Anyone?

I'm bumping this one up because I have the same trouble. I am running XOOPS 2.0.14 with News 1.44. I am in central time (CST -6:00) my host is on Pacific time (-8:00).

I set the publish time for 5:50 and it stamped 11:50.
