I have started working on a site for a client using a created sub-domain on my own domain hosting account. I don't use a standalone XOOPS because I have never been able to get it work on my puter.

Before I go to far with the module installs, graphic uploads and modifications could someone(s) tell me if it is possible to later on move the XOOPS 2.0.13.2 site developed on a sub-domain to an entirely new main domain. The new domain has all the required system PHP, MySQL, Linux, etc.
IE; site and database? If it is very difficult? How to do it or point me to the right place/thread(s)?

Its not that difficult here is the instructions, just becareful.
If you have a big MySQL file segment it, to make it when you upload to a new server if that is what you are doing?
The server can then handle each file in one go, you import.
Ok I was going to.... its in the FAQ's some where?? trying to find link....

if it on the same server, you just change the mainfile.php details to point to where it should be.

This thread explains it, even if you are staying on the same server.

Read the FAQ and the quick tips i posted to get the idea.

Make sure you back up the database and the files before starting.

Hope it helps.

It will be to the same Hosting Provider. I am not sure that means the same server, how would I know? Do I need to ask the provider?

Thanks for all your help folks!

Nice wish list Hyperpod.
