Hi I recently downgraded from XOOPS 2.2.3 to 2.0 etc because of the nonsense with the upgrade paths and found that, in fact, 2.0.x is far more intuitive in use - except for one thing!

With 2.2.3 when I wanted to add say three recent item blocks for three different categories of news, I just chose 'add block' or something.

However 2.0.x seems to do things differently and I can't seem to figure out how to add an extra block for this? I can use the one that appears in the block list - but how do I just add a block to this list?

Basically it depends on the module.

You can also choose to custum make one but that not so necessary anymore.

But even easier is a module like:
Topic blocks

specifically here for news.
Every module has at least one Recent Block too.
