I also removed the login block from my home page. When I try to access the addresshttp://siteurl/admin.php (where siteurl is the url of my site) I only get this message:

Quote:
You don't have the right to access this area
If the page does not automatically reload, please click here

You don't have to access "my-site/admin.php" ...just go tohttp://my-site.com/user.php and you'll be able to login from there

Done the same on mine 'cause I don't really need people to register. However, if they click on something that they aren't allowed access to, the login or register area pops up. How do you stop this.

For example, if you go to weblinks and clicked Submit Link, it will tell you that you don't have permission, but then knock you back to the user login page, which I don't want, but might switch on user logins at a later date.

@sharifa
If you don't want/need the menu item "submit" to show just open your "mylinks" folder and open file "xoops_version.php" , locate this:

Quote:

$modversion['sub'][1]['name'] = _MI_MYLINKS_SMNAME1;
$modversion['sub'][1]['url'] = "submit.php";

and simply erase those lines...the result?..."Submit" menu item will be gone
