Hi all,

I am looking for Forums blocs to add to my site, i like the one that is used here, i think it is newBB is this correct?

I don't like the Editor it looks too basic, and i can't seem to find a way to add flash movies, is there ather editors available for newBB?

another thing that i am missing is a SpellChecker, is one available to use with newBB? Why is it not active here in the forum?

TIA,

Xoops looks like a great solution to my problems, and the community looks great also.

Hi,

As a newbie to CMS and Xoops, i was expecting to see allot of documentation in OS CMS projects, now this is a major problem that i have seen on almost all OS CMS projects (joomla, etc...)

Now with XOOPS it looks like the documentation exists, but was hacked and now is unavailable... with CVS and Backup systems i wonder why the last valid CVS entry or Backup was not restored?

Or at least create a page with links to the documentation trail, i have searched the forum and found that many documents are available:

I found this Topic:https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=47686&forum=11
and this site:
http://docs.schuetzengau-freising.de/modules/xdocman/
and this site:
http://houseofstrauss.co.uk/modules/wfdownloads/viewcat.php?cid=4

As far as i could see this is all the documentation that i could find.

I am totally new, and never got to see the "hacked" Documentation section... it makes me a bit angry that OS projects always think of documentation as a second citizen, let me tell you that it is hard for all the newbies like me to get to the documentation, or to know if the documentation is valid for XOOPS 2.0.

So i hope this topic helps all the 2006 XOOPS beginners into finding all the documentations and getting the hang of using this powerful CMS project.
