i think pm hack is for 2.0.x not for 2.2.x as it did not work for my settings and with regard to php5, i do not know anything

and i still do not know whether this pm email notification is implemented in 2.2.x or not

it is really disappointing as i am unable to see why those who know and understand the bits has not offered any help/hint to solve/answer my issue/question?

ok forget the original question. can someone please advise that why did i not get any help here on forums? is it because my site does not bear XOOPS link? and is in the so called violation of CCL or it is just because my quetion is rather absurd and i am overlooking some very basic thing?

thanks and regards

Hello

These are my settings:

XOOPS Version:
XOOPS 2.2.4

XOOPS Template Set:
default

PHP Version:
4.4.2

MySQL Version:
4.0.26-standard

Server Software:
Apache

And I have been searching for a solution which would trigger an email notification upon reciept of a private message from another member and I understand that there is a hack available from smartfactory but to my understanding it only works for 2.0.X; nonetheless I tried it on my version, which as you may have noticed is 2.2.4 and nothing happened. I compared the original and hacked version of files and I noticed the following line in /modules/pm/english/main.php:

define("_PM_MAILMESSAGE","Hello!\nA New PM has arrived from %s\n\nTitle of PM is\n%s\n\nYou can view the PM here\n%s\n\n-----------\nYou are receiving this message because you selected to be notified when you receive a new PM\n\nYou can change your PM-Config\n%s\n\nPlease do not reply to this message\n\n---------\nBest Regards\n%s\n%s\n%s");

Now I do not know anything about programming but it seems as if it has been defined in at least to the extent of language file but my question is whether the feature is fully functional in 2.2.4 and is not working only for my configuration or it is something yet to be implemented?

Also, could you please also advise me how can I remove those blue borders around my forum icons?

Thanks and regards

Zer0

you were wondering and i am shocked at your request!

user passwords: it's not webmaster business, it's user's own business and let it be that way! got huge privacy implications
