I'm trying to install this version on my server with MySQL 4, getting everything ok till I confirm my entered database infrmation, etc.

Thne getting this:

and then once I click "check path & URL >>" next, getting:

Looks like you have an error n your install variables, to me.

When you run install be certain that your db password, username as well as your database name are correct.

Your mainfile.php script appears to be confused (it obtains all of its variables from your install input). You can try a manual fix of the mainfile.php-- often that works.

Are you certain of the version number?

It looks to me like you are trying to install 2.3alpha1, in which case you should read the install instructions... as there are some values in mainfile.php that you need to add manually.

also be aware that if it is 2.3.0 alpha you're installing, then there is NO support for it, as it's not even near finished so you will have issues with it. and you shouldn't install it on a production website for obvious reasons.

if it's 2.2.3 or 2.0.13.2 then i should recheck that all the files were copied to the server correctly, and non were corrupted during transfer. check mainfile.php to see if that contains the correct info.
