hey John - I think that will work for me! I started looking at the rest of thread and wow - over my head...but I will give it a try and see what happens.

Well as with any hack, backup the existing files before changes, then if you make a mistake you can start over.

There is a hack around (by the guy who wrote the Anatomy of the Default Theme) that allows to have blocks above and below the content. What he did was to edit the theme.html file and remove the right column. He put it back underneath the centre column so theme.html looked like:



He might even have included this in the doc?

Oh...oh my goodness ...ROFLOL ...at myself and my naivity! I might be biting off more than i can chew! Just looked at the hack file...Maybe it's just as well I am a novice with a touch of dutch courage! Is there a how to do hacks in FAQ??? - never mind - will look myself! Gosh I am still giggling at myself!

You have to understand that XOOPS is usually veryuser freindly and easy to follow which is what makes it so excellent ...then along come twits like me who want a bit more and I think Oh dear what am I getting into!

But Hey.. I teach my students to never give up so I better give myself a dose of my own medicine!

Off to research how to do hack files now!
