how many users does XOOPS have and what type of server it's running on?

i've been debating whether i should use XOOPS or joomla. I asked people on joomla and one developer mentioned that joomla can not handle large community with many users (in any case)

I like joomla because its ease of use but when i heard that i got pretty disappointed. can XOOPS handle hundred thousand of users?

You'll probably get a better idea of how many users XOOPS can handle by checking out the "Members" link listed in the Community Menu here on the site.
