i plan to launch a social networking site and plan to use amazon to store all user uploaded files like photos and video - since i dont want to pay for a dedicated server, this is a good option

problem with search

under user's profile, if i click on "show all" to view all forum post, I will be redirected to homepage index.php

when i access search.php directly, it also redirects me to homepage.
does anyone hav any ideas why this is happening?

i'm using XOOPS latest 2.0.14 (upgraded from 2.0.132)

I remember someone has written an article a while back comparing newbb and CBB. He author claimed that CBB is much slower than newBB.

did you notice any different in term of speed when you upgraded to CBB?

I'm u sing XOOPS latest 2.0.14RC1 with Original NewBB and would like to upgrader to a nicer forum, please give me some suggestions.

is there a CBB version that work with XOOPS 2.0.14? i heard it's only for XOOPS 2.3x?

is xoops.org running on 2.0x or 2.3? is this forum CBB?

i managed to upgrade after couple hours of trying. I fixed the blank page by CHMOD template_c directory to 777

okie now the site is upgraded but i have a little problem with the forum.

when quoting someone, i got weird charactor inside the quote box.. like smiley icons didn't display correctly
