How to disable the sending of the confirmation e-mail?

I have this little quirk: I'd like to be able to have users register on my site without my site having to send them a confirmation e-mail.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I could selectively kill that particular part of the registration. Everything else is fine.

...emailing won't be especially important to my site.

Any help?

Which version of XOOPS are you using?

With XOOPS 2.2.x go to preferences > Extended profiles > general settings.

If you change Select activation type of newly registered users to Activate Automatically the users will be activated and email will not be sent.

I can't believe I didn't see that before. I'll try to feel around abit more before I resort to the forums.
