Xoops.org have upgraded to the latest v2.0 version which in some draconian way forbids numeric characters in user-names as part of it's security measures?

nope, cos it only happens when i logged in, and only with the m0nty account..

i gave jd access to my acct earlier to see if its same when he logs in with it and it is still the same.

it could be the '0' in my username, but i don't have that problem on other 13.2 sites.. and i'd have thought if it was the '0' it would affevt the whole logging in procedure as a whole :s

i'm stumped.. lol

have emailed Ackbar, so hopefully he maybe able to figure it out..

I also have this problem on my own site.

When i am logged in i can view all user accounts except my own, i dont know if it is because i am user #1.

If i logout and become an anonymous user, i can see the other account details, no one else who is registered can view the account details for user #1, and when i click 'view account' in the user menu it just returns a blank white page.

i'm still stumped on this.. it's annoying either having to search whilst logged out, or when logged in have to use a 2nd browser that isn't logged in with to be able to search with.

In your case it could be XOOPS dyslexic swear word filter.

@m0nty.
Is there no way (via some tinkering in MySQL) to create a new account in XOOPS and migrate existing forum posts/PMs/notifications etc. so they are attributed to the new account ID?

yeah there's always a way.. but as we don't know the cause of this problem, no idea if transferring to a diff user account will work, or whether it will also transfer the problem to that new account..

as i say i'm stumped on this 1..

i've looked at the headers of each page and i can't see anything wrong with those either.

Can someone verify that the View account doesn't work.I get can't find server page.
And the Search doesn't work for me half the time. Sometimes it works but the CSS isn't applied to the page, other times just the can't find server error.
This happens from work and home.

Wanted to search for it, but like i said, search don't work good for me.

This happens to me from both home and work, so I disregarded the my system being the problem.

Haven't got any problems on xoops.org using latest 1.0.x Firefox. But strange much time gone and nothing has been found for what could cause this problem for some users here..
