There will be always people working on, as someone to take hands over a module, or the core as we've seen this last year. As long as people will come here, this thing still alive. Isn't that the meaning of the slogan "Powered by You"? And that's why i think xoopspoll should be available to let users vote democratically and decide of the XOOPS directions / priorities.
Just now it seems to be impossible to joined people in a team like XOOPS Theme Forge carried out by Jason on the StudioC server. At that time many people from many international support sites were called to work on a new design... but the site was closed and account deleted.
There's many other things already done that need to be organised, like the Mikail XOOPS cd-rom, interlingua renamer, xsas, new transparent graphics (png), mascotte, new themes & templates w3c validated (Wanikoo, also author of pm hack), url rewrite, multilanguage & utf-8 (Nu-nrg, ep8 & others).
Can people vote and decide of the next improvement of XOOPS 2.0.14 & 2.2.4 or wathever?...
I like people more than machines or money. But that's me!
Lets do something good and great: Lets do open source!
