You annoy me!!! Try to use brain, at least once!

X2.3 doesn't exist, it's "personal Skalpa toy". I want more-or-less usable XOOPS 2.2, Mithrandir's #OOPS#

I agree It doesn't looks like open source!

It looks more like the one man show, using XOOPS and XOOPS community for some self-promotion.

- Your turn, my turn and everybody gets a job!

Whatever.. let him play with it, doesn't XOOPS still an open source project?

I would like to see a public branch and a true open source development of XOOPS but instead we see forks coming here and there: XOOPS for google, XOOPS hacked, XOOPS light, etc.

What that means? Who knows? For sure the one who'll survive...

Skalpa:

I saw the new dev site and I love it. I think you're going in a great direction. I like that you're limiting the initial devs - nothing slows down projects like people that can't work well together. Build a team that knows their way around coding and can work together and I think you'll go good places. Anyway, my hat's off to you and the participants you listed as devs. I think they'll do a great job!
MMM...It tastes like chicken! ...

Can you please be more polite and respectful to others? We don't have to agree on things, but that's not a reason to offend people.

Thank you!

I am confused. Where do you see "self-promotion here? Could you please explain?

Could you tell us what do you mean by "true open source development"? How does it compare with Linux development? What are good examples of "true open source development" for you?

Hi Mamba,

I will not be polemical here, not now, when devteam try to communicate.

But if you really want to know or need some details to have your own opinion based in true facts, write me a word : xoopserver at gmail dot com.

To resume : I keep a private archive in memorie of those friends who have died and many others that still working in different projects - to remember all these steps which it has been going through - almost humain stories and memories of the beginning of this virtual adventure to remember the people who made it, and how they released that original code/work in 1998,... then the abandonned Thatware project, recoded by Francisco and followed by it's forks since 2000/1...

Best Regards

Sometimes a better memory is the one that helps us to forget things and move on

But let's try to make 2006 a year of major positive changes in XOOPS, and let's try to contribute to it by having a positive attitude. Let's use Gandhi as an example here - we don't have to agree on a status quo, but we can still work toward the desired changes with a positive attitude!!! Wishing everybody a GREAT 2006!!!!

I still believing such Memories are also an important part of respect for life and people which helps each one of us to be aware and keep in mind such lessons and that code of honnor to go through... issues!

We wont repeat the same mistakes!

Happy New Year 2006!
