I can confirm this for my testinstallation of 2.2.3a.

If i approve a submitted news item it will be published with the name of the submitter. So no problem there on my installation.

Xoops 2.2.3a, php 4.3.3, MySQL 3.23.56

I make upgrade x222/x223a - and I don't make news ok

Can you download the full version (xoops 2.2.3) and copy this file to your website : /xoops/class/xoopsform/formselectuser.php

Hello Hervé,

Just want to be clear. Do you mean download a full version of XOOPS 2.2.3, or download a full version of News 1.42 for XOOPS 2.2.3?

Just downloaded the News files as you suggested and noticed what could be a BIG problem for anyone that doesn't notice it. The file backend.php is spelled backendt.php.

Download the full XOOPS version 2.2.3 and copy the files I was talking of.

Concerning your last point, there's no error, the file named backendt have the right name and is in the right place. This file is used to have rss feeds per topic.
You will find, on the module's homepage, a zip file containing the backend.php (withtout the final t) file alone.
