Hi guys and gals I have yet another stupid question

I am trying to get a multilanguage option at my start page i.e. when users log on they can choose Eng or Traditional Chinese.

I have the language support module installed and both flags under the language heading but when selecting Chinese nothing happens, nor can I enter any zhong wen characters?

Any suggestions on how I messed this up?

Do you have tchinese package installed?

I do have the multi language module installed and this:

XLanguage Configuration
language list
Desc Name charset code Image Weight Base language
English english iso-8859-1 en English 1 Ø
Traditional Chinese tchinese big5 zh-TW Traditional Chinese 1 english

I thinbk I have it right but I am lost as to where I am mistaken.

When a user logs on and hits chinese as the base language shouldn't all the menues change to Zhong wen characters?


Cuz I get nothing, no change , nothing.

any suggestions or corrections?

xlanguage module does not mean you have tchinese package.

You should have both English and Tchinese language packages and set both as "base language"

I do not know anything about Chinese characters, but I suggest you take a look at the XOOPS Multilanguages from Smartfactory.
