Fatal error with auth files

Ive tried 8 times now, reinstalling, and I always get this problem when I try and finally log in:

Fatal error: getauthconnection(): Failed opening required '/home/fakefolder/public_html/class/auth/auth_nl2br.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/fakefolder/public_html/class/auth/authfactory.php on line 33
Warning [PHP]: getauthconnection(/home/fakefolder/public_html/class/auth/auth_nl2br.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in file class/auth/authfactory.php line 33

it's looking for a file that isn't there (class/auth/auth_nl2br.php). Make sure you upload all the files to the right location.

thanks, but the file it says that is creating the problem doesnt even call that file, in fact as far as i know that file doesnt exist. i unpack the zip files on the server so the struture is exactly how XOOPS released it.

then the error report must be mistaken, I guess...

Lets see if someone else can reproduce this error. What setup are you using? Versions, servers etc.

Hi

I just installed XOOPS 2.2.3. Everything went according to plan but on trying to login the same error above:

Fatal error: getauthconnection(): Failed opening required '/home/fhlinux200/p/programs-4u.com/user/htdocs/xoops/class/auth/auth_nl2br.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in /home/fhlinux200/p/programs-4u.com/user/htdocs/xoops/class/auth/authfactory.php on line 33

I didn't install any of the 2 options for messaging if that is anything to do with it.

PHP version 4.3.10
MySQL version 4.0.24-standard
XOOPS Version 2.2.3

Setup would stall in 1 of two places:

1. After entering setting up the admin uname and pw
or
2. After setup is complete, logging in for the first time

Anything else needed?

(P.s - I just tried an install of 2.0.13.1 which worked fine, then just upgraded, but this still should be figued out.)

As of this moment, 2.2.3RC2 is in Beta Testing and should be released soon. Version 2.2.3RC2 addresses several of the issues from 2.2.3 and 2.2.3RC1. Furthermore, I reported the bug about "nl2br" at the Sourceforge bug tracker a few weeks ago, the Dev Team is aware of it and are working on a solution.

I have just installed XOOPS and am having the same error when attempting to login for first time.

Instalation went ahead with all green lights, sql database is complete.

Any idea what is causing this?
