Thanks for the responses guys,

I tried to simply edit only the path and domain in mainfile.php - so everything just reflects it's new position on the host. I can't see anything out of place. Should I post the mainfile contents here?

Also, my server is a basic LAMP setup, everything is pretty well updated.

The modules are content, extcal, extgallery, newbb, news, contact_plus, only extcal has stopped working, but the rest of the modules work fine as a guest. That's why it seems to be more of a session problem - I think?? Am I right?

Site:http://caca.org.au/nsw/

I moved XOOPS accross domains, and now I can't seem to log in.

It accepts my username and password, and shows a user menu, bust as soon as I click anything else, or refresh the page, I'm logged back out again!

To fix it, I've cleared:
- my cookies and cache
- the cache folder on the server
- the current user session rows in mysql

Still, it keeps happening!

Any other ideas? You can try for yourself:http://caca.org.au/nsw/

PS. I'm using 2.0.13, as the problem started before the update.

Users are getting this error when trying to change their password. They used to get HTTP_REFERER, but i switched that check off. Now what?

If you mean, how your site will be affected if your users' firewalls are blocking their HTTP_REFERER? The banner thing is the only element, I am aware of.

And resetting your password: see this thread.

Thanks, but no I don't have any additional security on the site (having trouble with the stuff that's there!) and I switched my firewall off, but it still doesn't work.

I understand the HTTP_REFERER has something to do with the url, like if details are kept in the url, just like with the banner clicks. It's the same with resetting your password....

Hi,

I have re-launched my site, and have a lot of users saying they can't log in. They even say that getting the password reset doesn't work. Whil I'm not 100% sure of what errors they came accross, I tried and here is what I got from a few test accounts:

The passwords work on some test accounts and not others. There is nothing differentin the database between the accounts, save the name.

No matter what account, when I try and get my password reset, it gives me the "HTTP_REFERER" error page. However, it still sends the new password to the email, but the new password doesn't work.

So I disabled the HTTP_REFERER check which looks like this: Quote:
function xoops_refcheck($docheck=1)
{
return true;#*#DISABLE_REFERER_CHECK#
return $GLOBALS['xoopsSecurity']->checkReferer($docheck);
}
... but it still gives me the "Why am I being directed here?" page!

Can someone please help?

I did a full re-intsall so i didn't need to do any upgrading.

It works to send myself an email, but just can't seem to import any users...

it says:"data has not been imported, the email address is empty."

i can import manually to the database, but wanted to be able to do a quick search of users who have registered within the past week and then import them...

..PS that doesn't really give the option of sending text/html encoded emails still. How would I go about changing that?! Oh it would so much easier if someone with knowledge could sit down for an hour and do the few changes to evennews to make it work in 2.2x
