Why aren't themes supported in XOOPS v2? You download them off the Themes Library and upload them in admin panel it gives you error about zip so I changed it to a gz and then it says it's missing the info. None of the themes come with XML file. If I upload on FTP the site doesn't detect it in the panel.

Please release a patch so you can use themes.

Hello and welcome on this forum.

Themes are supported on XOOPS v2, but you're certainly confused about the difference between themes and templates, which are not the same.

So, please read the FAQ to learn how to install a theme.

You are making the common mistake of confusing themes with templates. see this Faq Page for an explanation of differences.

See this section of Theme Deployment Flash Tutorials for the proper method of theme installation.

Thanks for clearing that one up guys. It's shown me a bit more of the power of XOOPS. I know this is offtopic but is there a way to transfer posts from PHPBB to the XOOPS forums?

Yes, I think it's possible. www.bbpixel.com has that feature available,IIRC.

p.s. the power of XOOPS is also in the 'search' feature
