Auto Login Problem

I have installed GIJOE's auto login, which appears to work, but only for until you close the browser. I also use the IPB forum module and the Auto Login doesn't have any effect in the forums... what can I do to fix these problems?

you should really read the instructions!

X-IPB already has autologin built in, so if you have used GIJOES autologin hack after u installed X-IPB then you have overwritten some necessary files that ipb requires. hence the reason y you can't login to the forum.

i'd suggest recopying the core files from the x-ipb module (those files inside the upload folder except for modules/ipboard.

Thanks, that fixes the IPB related problem, but it still only takes effect until the browser is closed.

then you're clearing cookies when the browser closes, that negates the effect of having your logged in status saved in a cookie.

Nope, my browser is set to keep cookies until they expire. Even if cookies are not saved, firefox still remembers cookie sessions until you close it. Cookies do not appear to be even saving.
