That's one, and greatly appreciated, MarcoFR, but what about the rest of the Beta Testing Team? People are clamoring for this release, but I'd like to have it properly tested before we do release it

When updating my 2.2.1 site, I got this feedback:

Warning [PHP]: executescript(/home/herkoco/public_html/modules/pm/include/update.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in file kernel/module.php line 1199
Warning [PHP]: executescript(): Failed opening '/home/herkoco/public_html/modules/pm/include/update.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in file kernel/module.php line 1199
Warning [PHP]: executescript(/home/herkoco/public_html/modules/pm/include/update.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in file kernel/module.php line 1199
Warning [PHP]: executescript(): Failed opening '/home/herkoco/public_html/modules/pm/include/update.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in file kernel/module.php line 1199

This was when I updated the private messages module. Apparently it's looking for an update.php file in the modules/pm/include folder, but it's not in the 2.2.3 RC2 snapshot package.

Sorry I haven't been available much the last few days. Work and clients have kept me on my toes.

I've got some free time today so I'm going to be working on putting this latest release through it's paces; best I can anyways.

Best Regards,

James

Server Details
==============
OS: RedHat Enterprise 3 i686
WWW directory: /home/*****/public_html/223
Path to sendmail: /usr/sbin/sendmail
Apache version: 1.3.33 (Unix)
MySQL version: 4.0.25-standard
PHP version: 4.3.11

Install settings
================
Use persistent connection?: No
XOOPS Physical Path: /home/*****/public_html/223
XOOPS Virtual Path (URL): http://www.beta.pkbcs.com/223
Installed Extended Profiles and Private Messaging

NOTES (thus far)
================
Fresh Install
Install was flawless
PHPDebug enabled by default (good!)
Editing own account works fine (front end)
"To:" field of Private Messaging requires you to click "List" before you can see any users. This could be confusing for newcomers.
Subject is not clearly indicated when reading messages (it is in bold, but not labeled).
Word sensoring doesn't work on block content for custom blocks but works on the title (any Content Type).

I'll report more as I find stuff.

for search functionality in Ext. Profile module, what's "Items per page" ? Should search in entire profile data ? if yes, does not work.

i have added some other things in tracker too.

That is the user lookup function - we'll try to streamline it better.

"Items per page" = "How many users should be listed per page in the results"

Marco,

I'm doing what I can between my two jobs and college.

To those I spoke with through PM...

If you're waiting for beta1.xoops.org to be ready, please don't. Ackbarr and I are working on some DNS issues with the domain. It may be a few more days before the site is ready. In the meantime, you can start debugging locally using one of the following programs.

EasyPHP
XAMP
IBServer

XAMP allows you to switch between PHP 4 and 5 with ease, so it would probably be the best choice for BETA testing.

This is where the rubber hits the road people. We need all the help we can get.

If you're not a member of the BETA Testing Team and you want to help, please do. Anyone can Report a Core Bug, not just Beta Testers.

Best Regards,

James
