No DB connection anymore !!

Good morning,

A rude awakening that was this morning when I found this message when I visited my site (www.nvshv.nl, running on XOOPS 2.0.13):

Strange. I have not changed anything on my site for days now, except confirming a few members registrations.

I'm waiting for response from my webhost.
I re-uploaded the class/database/databasefactory.php file.
Does not help.

What should I do now?

maybe your ISP's MySQL server is unavailable for a while…I think you should call them for support.

You could also check the mainfile.php, make sure the name/password is correct etc.

I did.
Seems OK.
ISP is looking into it.
Could it be an ISP problem when I can connect normally to remote MySQLadmin?

I'm starting to get worried....

Don't worry too much. If your password is correct etc then it probably is your hosts db server as someone said above. I've had this a few times with my host, eventually they wake up and fix it.

Maybe back up your site though, as a precaution.

According to my ISP they did not have any problems with DB server. The only thing I can imagine is that some kind of file got damaged when I activated an account (the last thing I did when site functioned normally).
Don't know if that's even possible, but otherwise it was a mystery.

Anyway: problem is "solved" by putting back a backup.

Hope it doesn't happen again.
