Changing look of News

Im looking to make my site look a lot like xoops.com, and can't seem to figure out how to change a simple thing like the look of news topics, etc.

In the default format the news has a summary by date with just a little bit of info, I want basically what the sections of XOOPS look like, nice bold colorfull text, does that require changes to the template?

I think what you want to do requires editing the CSS template of your theme.

As for changing the look of your news, such as font colors and sizes and a few other things, there is a CSS (cascading style sheet) that effects how all your pages look.

Depending on exactly what you want to do, this would the thing to open in Wordpad and alter. I learned by trial and error.

Is a link to your website available? I may be able to help further by being able to actually see what you want changed.

How about a XOOPS MOD which puts the CSS on the screen, you can modify and save it. You would see imediate results.
Maybe it will be in the new 2.2.4 ;)

site isn't public yet, but it could be real soon.

Let me play around with the CSS file and see what I come up with, thanks for your suggestions.
