Difficult to help you without any further information. Which modules did you try? And why did they not work?

smartmedia, debaser 0.92, etc.pp.

on which System: XOOPS-version, PHP-version?

NO, this is not weird!! I've spent quite some time on making a multimedia player and there really weird things going on. Every maker of multimedia-players has its own vision how things should work. Example? For instance the values for auto-starting files differ. One player needs the value "1" the other the value "true".

There are dozens of filetypes, dozens of information for each file and so on. You can use different codecs when making clips, but if any other player does not have this codec installed then nothing will go.

But back to topic: gives us some samples of error messages when you use these modules. Otherwise this ends only in guessing.

Thats why i am lost there are no error messages lol. It just doesnt load.

It loads the file then shuts off. the player Block goes to a black screen.

But i have not once gotten a error message. I am only trying to play MP3 and Window Media Files "Videos"

Those are the only two formats. Mostof my users use Firefox.
So it ahs to work in Firefox.

If you know of one that works. LEt me know please.

I tried the players again no error message this time either.

Later and Thanks

Let me know.

I think "smartMedia" is one of the best and easy to use Multimedia-Tools for Xoops. Have a look > to a running example with wmf (Windows media Player)
System: XOOPS 2.0.9.3, Modified Standard Theme

sowenjr,

Post as much info as you can for us. Modules that have specific upload directories for content should tell you under the modules admin section. All information you post will give clues to what you might be doing wrong. What version of XOOPS are you on? Have you tried to view your media using a media player on your computer before uploading? What browser are you using. Can someone else's computer view your media? Lot's of question but they can be helpful to someone here on this board.

I checked the file path.
I use SMart FTP
I made sure the files path was correct.

I wanted to use the one with the media player in a block.

And is your server set to handle big enough files? Many have a limit on file size...
