Actually the issue has been already solved by Xoops.
There shouldn't be any problem if following XOOPS procedure for GPC plus DB handling.

Will check if any documentation available in dev wiki

Would that be effective as of 2.2 or as of 2.2.1? With 2.2, it's still an issue. When user's submit content, I have to edit their article to remove the backslashes. Since I just updated to 2.2.1 this evening, I have not had a chance to see if this is still an issue. It would be awesome if it's not!

Thanks,

James

Sorry, I was saying it would work if a module uses XOOPS "properly"

If a module has this problem with XOOPS 2.0*, then most likely the problem will be sticky with x2.2

How is AMS not using XOOPS properly? Mith did ALL the coding for both versions of AMS, so I can't imagine him doing this. Unless it was an oversight, or a workaround to get some functionality I asked for.

Before anyone gets defensive (or offensive), I don't think anyone is blaming anyone for bad coding or casting aspersions on anyone's competence.

After you made your last post, the thread seemed to die off. I guess some people may have taken what you wrote, and how you wrote it, the wrong way. I know that I may have.

AMS may not or may not be using XOOPS properly. If we had a definitive answer, this thread wouldn't exist. All I know is that I'm still getting a bunch of backslashes following quotation marks under XOOPS 2.2.
