Im looking for a member counter, on the module repository there is only one type of counter and its not described well but I think its a hit counter not a member counter.

I dont understand how I would use a smarty tag?

Make a cutom block and insert it.

Example:

<Custom block>

Total members
<{$lang_totalusers}>

</Custom block>


Note: Make custom block in admin area.

I tried this but the block I have obtained is like this:
Total members:
<{$lang_totalusers}>

It doesn't print the variable value but the text... what I have to do?!

doesnt seem to work for me either, im using 2.2, that shouldnt make any difference though should it?

I've tryed also in a 2.0.13 installation but it doesn't work
