Our mission is to inform you of the Proper Role of Government - the way God approved of it - the way the U.S. Constitution has outlined it and - in the manner of the teachings of the Founding Fathers of this nation. This will help us all become free of ignorance and alert to the Secret Combinations of our days as prophesied in Ether 8 of the Book of Mormon.

visit THE ARCHIVE! See what the Prophets and other Church leaders (of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) have said about government/politics in relation to religion. (Over 50 articles available!)

The Prophets have been warning us of the perilous times in which we live. For hundreds of years we have been warned of the Secret Combinations all around us, but just as the scriptures say, "ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you (Ether 8:24)."

"Both communism and socialism seek to destroy our economic system and . . . destroy not only our economic system, but our liberty, including the 'civil' aspects as well....

"When socialism is understood, we will realize that many of the programs advocated, and some of those already adopted in the United States, fall clearly within the category of socialism. What is socialism? It is simply governmental ownership and management of the essential means for the production and distribution of goods.

"We must never forget that nations may sow the seeds of their own destruction while enjoying unprecedented prosperity.

"The socialistic-communist conspiracy to weaken the United States involves attacks on many fronts. . ."

Xoops.org is a site for the users of XOOPS to obtain support and information regarding the technical aspects of the application. Please keep your political and religious views to yourself as there are many people of different religious and political backgrounds here working together towards one goal - A better "XOOPS"!

There are many sites available for you to speak your religious and political views....some of them probably run on XOOPS.

Now, back to XOOPS.

Thanks, seth_sd! Felt the same way, just couldn't find the words to say. Actually, I wouldn't mind the admins deleting posts like that.

brmecham -
Then your thread should contain content pertaining to exactly that, “check out this site” , please critique my theme, etc. NOT quotes of socialistic-communist…

Just a quick snippet from the site:
Quote:
Dr. Skousen said the Lord wants us to put good men in office, but "we are delinquent there."

He later explained that the crimes of the King against the people, that are stated in the Declaration of Independence, are the "same crimes that are there today with our leaders."

"We've degenerated into a democracy." stated Cleon Skousen. "We have really commercialized our politics."

Degenerated into a democracy.. does that mean that there is a higher ideal then an American democracy? Theocracy, perhaps?

Anyways, I agree with Jamescne. Asking for comments about the site is whatt he forum is for. Not about the content.

These threads crack me up. So do we comment on the technical aspects or argue the content?

I thought that this forum was about the technical side. Given that, yes, well done I suppose. I've seen much worse. A lot of work went into it. There, that's the comment.

But since it was brought up.... my favourite line on the whole site and it is in the first paragraph: "the way God approved of it " Now that's entertainment. And also why these subjects can never be argued. It reminds me of a statue I once saw with an inscription that says something similar but refers to the justification of a genocide that occurred before the constitution was written. But if god approved of it then all is well I suppose...

Second fav reply: "Theocracy, perhaps?"... hit the nail on the head.

I'll add my own: "My imaginary god is better than your imaginary god".

xoops for all.
no max no bling. goes double for mik. triple for the insane aliases of said lunatics

Not around here anymore. Way too many idiots, so sad.

To answer one of the questions. Our Constitution established a Republican form of Government, not a Democracy...

and to get back on track...

You do have a valid point that I should just be asking you to critique the technical aspects of my site.

I don't see an option to EDIT my first post that "advertises" my web site, so I will just remember for the future that this forum is for reviewing the technical aspects of a site.

I believe that the option to "Edit" is only available for a small amount of time after the post.

If your after letting everyone know about your site, you should "submit a new article" HERE and set the category to YAXS...
