How do i create a subcategory in newbb, ie how do i create a forum within a forum

in the admin section of the forum prefs....

EXAMPLE

is there a module i dont have installed because i cant access the display you have shown in the picture?

I'm using newBB 2.02/CBB

I'll assume that you are using the newbb that comes with XOOPS standard...yes?

I'd highly reccomend upgrading...just for the features and better admin section!

Let me know which forum module your using and which version....it'll be easier to address

is there any way i can still keep all posts etc and upgrade to v2 of newbb

yes...the newBB 2 and 2.02 releases had info on upgrading and keeping the posts, as it does change the table structure a bit.

I seem to remember it being relatively painless...sort of a point and click thing really.

The real trick is finding a copy of the newBB 2 module!
