All this time I've been putting albums in the user albums directory. I want to have a good clear out and move the public albums up a directory. This means that the database will have to reflect the new locations.

In phpmyadmin, is there a quick way to search and replace text in the fields?

(I'm a newbie with SQL)

use phpMyAdmin to download the xcgal tables from the database as a text file, and then alter the entries using a text editor. (easier find and replace functionality)

I say this because if you are new to it, it will take you longer to find what you are looking for than phpmyadmin's session will allow for changes.

Good Luck!

And just reimport the tables back in (after making a backup of course)?

yep

Be sure that when you 'export' from phpmyadmin that you check the 'drop table' option, and use 'insert' as the overall method.

This will cause the database to drop all of the tables and then re-insert them with the updated info. If you don't drop the tables first, you'll get insert errors telling you that the entries are already there.

(SAVE THE ORIGINAL...if things get whacked out oo bad, you'll at least want to get back to the way it was)
