There are so many Great Great modules for XOOPS that one can be confused easily with their use (like me). Just like it took me 2 days do decide whether to go with "Mydownload" or with "WF-Download" and then just 2 hours to understand the working of "Wf-downlaod".

Now I m stuck up again. Consider me a person with limited knowledge. And help me out.

My Problem is

I want to have a section where i can have reviews. Reviews of software’s, hardware’s and things related to Information Technology.

Now Which Module I should use ????

I read few topics about "MyReviews" saying there is no further development on this module and some ppl also having little troubles using it. So i m confused to use it.
Can AMS from IT-HQ be used for this purpose ? ? OR
If its good to work with My Reviews ? OR
Any other module that u can suggest me ?

Actually, you could use any article module for this purpose. Even the news module would fit.

Some module suggestions:
Articles
Smartsection
AMS
News 1.31

Which of these module fits best to your personal needs is a matter of installing them and trying out yourself.

Totally forgotten........coming to think of it.....wouldn't it be possible to put your great XOOPS testing website within the xoops.org 'community' mainmenu as a link reference?
Think this would be a great service to lots of (new) users!

Re: So many Modules...I m confused,

Hi Shine,

There has been talk about this starting here but I think the outcome was really to wait till 2.2 and make a demo site (with demo content) for each module package. But I do think it would be good to have a raw site with a good mix of modules (not included in the packages) as well.

That is the best way of doing things. But my problem is i have some limited time. In about two weeks my studies r going to start and i m trying to finish everything before.

Let me be a little more specific.
I want to have these things in categories.
1) Software Reviews 2) Hardware Reviews
3) Latest News 4) Other News

And then adding first three things as a menu item.
What i want is, an easy to use but powerfull module that could handle this.

If any one could give suggetion on basis of his/her experience.

And Thanks BlueNova. I didnt know it before. I will be having a close look on your site and it will help me for other testing stuff.
