I got totally blank screen duing installation of XOOPS

Hello.

I was following the Installation Guide.
Up to Figure 6.1 of Chapter 6 was ok, but when I clicked "Next" I got blank screen...

Please, give advice. I can't understand what's wrong.
Tried to search forum - nothing found.

Check the FAQ section of this site.
Blank pages occur regularly, almost always due to not following directions.
Else: delete all remote files and try again; first check database etc.

I have the same problem.

When I press next after admin password screen I also get a blank page.

I tried everything - also a complete clean install with database etc.

This only happens with 2.2 and 2.2.1 when I try with 2.0.13 everything work.

I have installed many copies of XOOPS now but never seen this before - it must be something relating to the environment of my Linux system (SME server 6.0.1).

Next is to try and debug the problem - but I do not have the time right now.

Anyone with a solution?

NB: When I try to access the site after a blank page install I get a lot of errors and warnings - broken install!

Hi there :) I had this problem on all my 2.2 sites and I did 3 difffernt fresh installs and all had the problem with default everything but only when php debug was turned off. What was the culprit for my sites, a bad gzip implimentation. Turn off the GZIP compression and they all worked perfect with Debug off from that point on. Hope that helps :)
