The answer to this I believe is quite simple due to XOOPS intelligent design.

Step 1. Go into site admin , and into the modules in prefererences.

Step 2. Rename the Xcgallery module to the right of it something else like Gallery and hit submit!

Step 3. accept changes and volia! Yer all done!!

Hi there :) I had this problem on all my 2.2 sites and I did 3 difffernt fresh installs and all had the problem with default everything but only when php debug was turned off. What was the culprit for my sites, a bad gzip implimentation. Turn off the GZIP compression and they all worked perfect with Debug off from that point on. Hope that helps :)

I think there must be something wrong with your permissions as I am using xcgal on the this site ChiAEssance.com and all is fine with the module.
