I have the same issue, with the update button not showing, thus I cannot update the system module and I cannot post, nor change anything. This relates to both changing of system prefs, posting news, forums, anything.

I'll try getting some debug later today.

Edit: Right, after doing the commenting out that you suggested;

and then trying to post a news bit, I get the same as I did before;

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/wirum/www/wow/include/functions.php on line 145


Edit 2: I also set the error reporting to E_ALL.

I have updated to 2.0.12a in hopes of it fixing the issue, but no go.

Errr... how have you upgraded - exactly?

From 2.0.? to 2.0.1? to 2.0.1? (please fill in the blanks)

The "member object" is the XoopsSecurity object that was introduced in 2.0.10... If you have upgraded to XOOPS 2.0.10 and then used the 2.0.10-2.0.12a patch, it should be there.

Oh, sorry about that.

I had a fresh 2.0.9 install a while back, patched to 2.0.10 when that came out, then patched to 2.0.12 now, then 2.0.12a this morning.

You think I should try putting in the 2.0.10 patch again, then repatching to 2.0.12a?

If you have not changed anything in the core files, I would actually suggest that you

1. Download 2.0.12a full version
2. Extract archive
3. Remove all subfolders to modules/ except modules/system (e.g. remove modules/news, modules/newbb, modules/xoopsmembers)
4. Apply the remaining files to the webserver - except mainfile.php

See if that helps.

Edit: I knew there'd come a time I'd be really glad I didn't fiddle with mods needing corefile altering.
