Well I have just been scammed and need to find a new home for my site.

I didn't read the terms and condtions at compila and they say they have an unmetered service with no hidden charges

Then in the terms and conditions they say if you need a forum use php, but!! if you do use a php forum or chat facility you are limted to 3GB

They have increased this to 5GB

Just long enough for me not to get a refund unless they cancel my account.

My site is down at the moment and it was ranking 1st, which didn't help matters, as I was getting about 2GB of search engines crawling my site?

So I need to find a new host for my site, with good services reliable and cheap as I am skint, plus I may need to pay by paypal or english debt card, as I do not have a credit card, though I might borrow my uncles.
also i am not sure if my spanish debt card works, as it says visa, yet as perusual in spain it is a fiesta so every one is off work again!!

It looks like a choice out of

bluehost.com

or

Ultimate Hosting Solutions

Anybody else know any where that is reliable and cheap?

With good space and bandwidth, as my site is still growing?

At least I am learning, do a web search before you sign up with anything and add problem to the thing you are purchasing.

Re: Finding a new host again

You will find that Surpasshosting is pretty popular among XOOPSers. Also I am pretty satisfied with CWI hosting, which is a little bit more expensive, but also faster than Surpass hosting (on most servers).

Don't mess around, Surpasshosting.com rocks.

I moved from 2 reseller accounts to a dedicated server with them.

Re: Finding a new host again

I'm on surpass, I was on a standard shared hosting account, and it did seem to be down every now and again. A couple of months ago I moved to a reseller account (still shared but new server) and I don't think I've had any downtime on that server, and never had any proformance issues on it.

Support - 4/5
Value for money - 5/5
Uptime/proformance - Reseller - 5/5
Uptime/proformance - Shared - 3/5
