Hi.

My XOOPS was working about 10 miutes ago. It has been a fairly stable setup. It is hosted on Yahoo. last couple of days at different times I have been getting the error below.

Error [Xoops]: Unable to connect to database in file class/database/databasefactory.php line 34


Can anyone help me with this? What could be causing this? I am not a php wiz, but will fumble through it if someone guides me..

Strangely enough it i working not even 5 minutes after my last post on this item above. What is causing this? How can I prevent it from ahppening in the future?

exactly what it said in the error message: cannot connect to the database. This is not a XOOPS error, but a database error (most of the time ). It only means the database is (temporarily) unavailable. Maybe it was being reset, or too busy or something similar.
