I've searched for other threads on this subject, and while they are numerous, none of them seem to offer a coherent solution. I'm posting this in the hope that one of the more senior/experienced members will see this and might know an answer >_>

I've been the webmaster of Nintendo Revolution Gaming for a few weeks now. Recently, after a slightly foolish mistake of mine to put the wf-section files into my XOOPS root directory, I began to get an error relating to include/common.php. A re-upload of the file from by site backup fixed the problem.

Following that, my site began to show up with the news, sections, newbb modules etc. all intact. However, when trying to access the admin.php file or the login/registration file, I got an error, paraphrased below:

FATAL ERROR: Call by a member function to a non-object in header.php on line 100.

After logging in directly to the admin section via /modules/system/admin.php, I was able to update the system admin module and change some group permissions. I am now faced with the same problem as previously, however, I get a different error message:

Selected module does not exist!

However, this error is displayed with header, footer and all blocks intact on the page.

I have noticed that the above error applies to most php files in the root directory, e.g. login.php, register.php and admin.php.

I have read in a few threads that this may be a php or IIS/Apache issue. I am in the process of contacting my host and seeing whether they have made any upgrades etc. on the server.

If anybody could help, it would be much appreciated.

My server host says that nothing has been changed in terms of software, only a few hardware modifications in the past week or so.

Bump. This is an urgent matter; the site is falling in Google's listings and the backend.php is not showing up for the numerous sites that use it.

short of doing exactly what every1 has suggested in the other thread, i think we've exhausted most explanations..

i don't know what to suggest that hasn't been suggested already..

if you could provide FTP access then maybe could possibly see something wrong that way.

No problem, I see you've already fixed the admin section (somewhat). I'll fulfill the link thing I told you about in the PM. I'm sure you know this, but please don't delete mainfile.php >_>

ahhh, damn that was quick :)

all done (i think)

try and login now and goto admin etc..

have edited the path in mainfile.php

the proper path should have been >

/www/r/e/revogaming.net/htdocs/html

and the file that was causing the module not found error, was because you had xoops_version.php in the root folder.(i think probly left over from your mistake with the module before) removed that file completely as it isn't needed there :)

have registered on your site and it seems to be working ok.
