big trouble, no control panel, no admin?

hello, I recently installed XOOPS on my host and database.

when going to the main page index.php in the root of XOOPS it just shows nothing, I can't click for an administration panel somewhere or control panel.

second trouble, how can I install modules?

what version did you install? and can you turn on debugging (see FAQ for how to do that).

that happens when i type /admin.php in the address bar, i see XOOPS and it gives me that error... so how do i debug this? did i do something wrong

what about /user.php? then log in and go to /admin.php

If that isn't helping, read Troubleshooting blank pages

thats definatively better. thanks much for help... i just thought there would be a login button on the main index lol...

I had exactly the same problem as described here, but even the described ideas didn't help me. ONLY turning off ZoneAlarm (switched to the WindowsXP Firewall) solved the problem for me!

firewalls suck :P i never got hacked since i have internet :P
