Hi! Please point me in a direction!! I can't seem to find add extended fields in the Admin user interface anywhere. I have the newest version of XOOPS.

Which newest?
The pretty stable 2010 or the "still" beta 2.1?

If you're using XOOPS 2.1, you need to install the Extended Profiles / User Management module first from the Modules section in the Admin zone.

Regarding topic: I created Date field, but made error somehow and can't store changed data in it... Any hints?
Tried:
Other - Date
Text field - Date

the "Date" field uses a UNIX timestamp. The type of the field should be "integer".

Hope this helps, otherwise I'll need some more debugging info to help.

I'm using XOOPS 2.1, and I have Extended Profiles / User Management module installed.

When I go to Tools/templates/extended profiles, I can [Edit] [Delete] [Download] these files:

profile_userinfo.html
profile_admin_fieldlist.html
profile_admin_categorylist.html

Clicking on edit/preview gives me a blank screen. I feel like I'm missing a step. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Blank screen means there are errors and you need to turn on debug to see them. If you are creating a site, you should be using version 2.0.10, the lastest stable version.

There are some critters in the template preview functionality.

Trying to locate it now, but am not really aware if it is worth it. Is the template preview useful? I mean, don't people just get a page with little to nothing on it because the actual content is not there (nothing is assigned to the template)?

I know I should be using 2.0.1 but I really need the extended fields and I don't know if I'll be able to upgrade later.

Am I missing a step, Mithrandir? Where am I supposed to add the fields?

Yes, it wrote to base correct date - but does not show edited data later, default date used
