Hey ...

I need a module for publishing music lyrics ... so letters from A to Z and then when you click on a letter it shows you all music bands ... then all lyrics of this band.

Is there a module like this ?

The cdbase module has a lyrics module, a good one, but the lyrics don't have a search box or the a-z distribution

Im not aware of a module that exists for this yet.

Would be a fun one to develop tho.

What are the legals of posting lyrics?

Ive thought about running a lyric database, did some research, and have seen alot of sites get popped for copyright infringement or the like.

Is it required to get permission to list some music companies lyrics? or can it be transcribed without problems?

These module have the Alpha Menu and one may be better than the other for you purpose.

I am only familiar with WF-Downloads but will use it as an example...

If you have any suggestions please post it there. And if anyone would like to help ... I would be verry happy.

At first glance - this appears to only be something like WF-sections... can you give an idea on the features and how it differs at all?

try looking into the news module's code. I think if you modify that, you'd get most of the problems solved.
