Invision Power Board - 'posted by' not working

Have installed the Invision Power Board - which looks and feels great!

But it doesn't always show who posted what in the menus. For example neither the "Topic Starter" not the "Posted By" show names. Is there an admin item I've not checked or is this a limitation of the port?

It also seems to not be logging IP's...

Board is installed at Australian Opinion

Go to IPB Admin Control Panel

Select XOOPS BB Module > Common Settings

Click on the Submit Changes button (you don't need to actually change a setting) just hit the button.

Now check your board and hopefully you should see the poster's names instead of two dots.

Wow... thanks

Still isn't logging IP addresses tho... is that doable??

On my setup, IP address is shown to admin/moderator under poster's details/avatar. Not sure if that needs to be enabled, but I don't remember changing any settings. Maybe m0nty can help with that.

yep, u have to enable it in users/group settings click to edit each group.. think it's right at the bottom..

incidentally, admin IP's are never shown on the forum not even to other admin (it's just shown as --------- ) but members are shown to admin..
