phppp is the problem slayer of the day. Thanks for posting the link to the CBB thread. That was it exactly.

Should anyone else be having this problem. Turns out I just needed to enable HTML when creating/setting permissions on the forums, and the Koivi editor worked as expected.

Ok
I have the editors working fine now.
But when someone recently joined and there was a forum posted to the welcome area I get this email notification with full text of what was posted but it is all in html with html visible.
