If there's one, users around a community can share their books, DVDs and a lot more.

I really hope there's one

I dunno what is this about but you might want to check this out

or perhaps u can modify it.

Glad to have your response, although the module you mentioned is not what I need. Thanks for your concern:)

I need a something like asset management: every user has some assets like books, DVDs, games and perhaps he/she doesn't mind if anyone else want to borrow some.

So this system should allow user to register his own assets and to browse others' assets. Like a library, the librarian should be aware of who borrowed what...

Hope this will help someone who wants to help me:)

I am starting to write a module similar to your requests. My first idea was to develop a book-oriented librarian system.
I will try to add your requests in my project, so if you have any suggestions on what this module should do, please write me.

It will take some time since I'm new at developing with xoops, but the basics and the logic are already thought on paper.
I hope I'll be able to use you as my first beta tester in a couple of weeks
