That's weird. I've just tried this using news 1.3 and XOOPS 2.0.9.2 and again with XOOPS 2.0.10 and don't have any problems like you describe.

So I suggest you post more details, such as your version of PHP, MySQL, server. And are you perhaps using Marcan's Multilanguage hack?

More details needed

Hi, iam using MySQL 4.1.8-nt.
running PHP version 4.3.6 on NT server.
And am not using any XOOPS or multilanguage hacks.
Would this have anything to do with MySQL charset? for this my setting is "UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)"
MySQL connection collation is "utf8_general_ci".
Any ideas??

Hello,

You should look what's MySQL collation is used for your database. You can see it if you have a recent version of phpmyadmin or may be you can ask it to your ISP.
We had the same problem on XOOPS France.

Bye,
Hervé

Hi

Only to add 50 cents............

Some strange behavior is happening when I try to use the tell a friend function only in Firefox, when I call my mail client (outlook express, in this particular case) the "Subject" and "body" of the message are full of accents erros ( i?m a brazilian writer and use lots of ^~?`¨?, etc).

The same doesn?t happen when i do the same via IE!
All the accents are correct.

Wierd, isn?t It?

Regards
