Hi
I am trying to set up my web with xoops
At news module,
I don't want anybody to post news there, and
I did set it up so
However, on the web, when I click news on menu,
it show "submit news" and "Archive" as sub menu

Would someone please tell me how I can not show sub menu "submit news"

Two possible solutions:

1. modify /modules/news/xoops_version.php
remove these lines:

 $modversion['sub'][1]['name'] = _MI_NEWS_SMNAME1; 
$modversion['sub'][1]['url'] = "submit.php";

2. Upgrade to News 1.3, which adds a permission system to control exactly which XOOPS groups can submit news articles. News 1.3 also contains many other new features over the one that ships with XOOPS.
