2.0.9.2 upgrading but worried!

I want to upgrade to the latest but i dont want to loose my site like i did the last time. Do i still upload all the files in the html folder or do i leave out the install, newbb, and any other folders?

as per the instructions..

use the patch 2.0.9.2 to 2.0.10

upload all files (except the install folder)

if u use newbb2 or news 1.2 or 1.3 then do NOT upload those 2 folders..

goto admin and update system module.

Also see the Xoops System Upgrade Flash Tutorial which guides you through the upgrade.

And also if you make a full site backup before the upgrade (as should always be done with major changes) then if a problem does develop, you have a backup available to start over.

Thanks for that but now there is a small problem. All my custom made content and blocks wont display. Go take a little look. http://www.shangrilala.co.uk. How do i fix this. I now the answer is simple.

Make sure that you update your system module. Also go to System Admin - templates, if you have a cloned template set there will be a template in the system set that needs to be generated. "system_dummy.html" is the name of the template I believe.

It will be highlited in yellow.

erm hmm. well im not using a clone. at least i dont think i am. Ive looked in the templates section and the only things i see are the default XOOPS template set which is all in black text so nothing there and the montis arts template set which is also in black text.

Ok, I know you have viewed my tutorial. Have you properly updated the system module?

Also go to System Admin - Blocks and check the settings for the affected blocks.

Ive clicked on update in the modules admin section. But still no change. You can see which blocks arn't displaying on my site. All or a lot of the headings are empty of content. Just headings but the settings for each block are as they were before.

Can you confirm something? Go back to System Admin - templates, check the system template set, look for System_block_dummy.html. Let me know if you find it.
