Hi,

nope I removed the newbb from the patch files as i am using the lastest version of newbb2, what files need to be ran if thats the case? I thought it was just the core module that needed to be updated.


and nope I dont have spaw installed
and I double checked prefrences in newbb2 and nope I dont have it selected as part of the editors, only DHTML and Compact.

I have a similar error to RiP with the MySQL debug on.

SELECT * FROM xoops_config WHERE (conf_modid = 17) ORDER BY conf_order ASC
SELECT * FROM xoops_tplfile WHERE (tpl_tplset = 'default' AND tpl_file = 'partners_block_list.html') ORDER BY tpl_refid
-300
Error number: 1064
Error message: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '-300' at line 1

Anyone have any idea to what might be causing this, If there's a workaround or owt ??

Well, thought i'd try something at getting this problem sorted out, however, didn't work :( Tried removing the module completly, and using a fresh download of it, also removing traces of newbb in the database. First post lastnight came up with this

Thanks for the reply JD, However i don't see how it's going to help here. I have not updated from newbb 1, this is a fresh install of newbb 2.02, and i don't use custom templates , and this error shows up on submitting a post

yesterday the forum worked well, but today i cant reply on posts or open new threads

Yep, go back to NewBB 1. Had to do this last week as so far, afaik there isn't a fix for it and may not be, as this error is not easily reproduced, and so far only a handful of us are having this issue. If you do go back to NewBB 1, remember you'll lose ALL your posts :(

Been back on NewBB 1 for over a week now, and not a problem what so ever, it's bliss (except those horrible icons, they're rancid lol)

Hello everybody.

I've been reported this error in my websites this morning.
In fact, yesterday I've made a two step upgrade from version 2.0.7->2.0.9.2->2.0.10

I removed the newbb directories from the first patch, as explained in the download description.
The problem, in fact, had to do with the second patch wich has no warning for this problem.

After reading this topic, as I suspected, I had a new post.php file since yesterday.
I've replaced all newbb files in with a fresh newbb2.2 module files in my test environment and the error is gone.

All websites are up and running again with no posting problems.
