Hi xoopsters, I'm back again looking for some help. For some reason my site has started showing a white/blank screen when posting/replying or adding a new poll in our cbb forum. I have had a REALLY good look the forums and found no hint at a solution, not even a thread with similar problems.

XOOPS Version: 2.2.4
Module Name/Version: cbb 3.04
PHP Version: 4.4.4
MySQL Version: 4.1.21-standard
Web Server Software: 1.3.37 (Unix)
Operating System: Linux
Theme: 7Dana Clean
Custom template: Yes
PHP Debug Messages: Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/public_html/class/xoopsform/formeditor.php on line 73
MySQL Debug Messages: SELECT * FROM xoops_users u, xoops_user_profile p WHERE u.uid = p.profileid AND (level > '0') ORDER BY posts DESC LIMIT 0, 10
Error number: 1052
Error message: Column 'posts' in order clause is ambiguous

Still having problems with avatars. XOOPS will allow the upload of custom avatars, but when redirected to the profile page the old avatar still shows. Also, we STILL cannot change avatars using the system one's.

Please help,

DeZ

Xoops 2.2.4 is now being used.

Yes, first thing i did. There are no error messages there so i'm stumped. On Saturday, i went to update cbb to 3.04, but before i did that i made a backup of the MySQL and full site through cpanel. I then updated cbb and was left with the white screen (again only when reply/new thread)so i reverted to the back up, but that is giving me the same.

Thanks for the reply. There are no error messages showing at all, just these notices and there's quite a few.

I'm now noticing the blank screen across more of the site, mainly in the admin section, for example- when accessing the forum permissions i get a blank screen.

I have tried restoring from a backup of the database, and whole site backup to no avail.

When trying to post or reply on my site, i am now getting a white screen. I've run the debug tools provided and this error is getting returned "Notice [PHP]: Only variables should be assigned by reference in file /home/#######/public_html/weatherbitez/class/database/mysqldatabase.php line 242" I'm pretty sure the version of XOOPS is 2.2.4 and cbb is 3.01(going to update to 3.04 later)

Also, myself and users cannot edit avatars, when trying to change the avatar you can select or upload a new one, but it returns you back to the original that was there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
DeZ

Also, this message "Notice [PHP]: Only variable references should be returned by reference in file /home/#######/public_html/weatherbitez/kernel/module.php line 172"

I had the same problem,it was a cookies issue on my browser(my bad),try setting to allow site on your browser, should work then..
Another thing was the user settings in the shout box module I had forgot to check them one time after installing again and the site displayed in the shout box area, but I think it could be more a cookies thing...

Hope someone can help me with this. We're currently running XOOPS 2.2.3 and are having problems selecting system avatars, but uploading our own works perfectly. When I go into extended profiles and try to select a system avatar, I can list them fine and select one ok click submit and everything looks fine, but when redirected back to the profile page the original avatar is still showing, it just won't change the avatar at all if it's a system one.

I've been through the database ( tried anyway ) and can't see anything that might cause a problem, and i also deleted the xoops_avatar table (following Benders tutorial) and I still cannot select a system avatar :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

DeZ
